3D reconstructions

What does it involve?
We can build 3D models of most collision scenes.  This involves attending the scene and surveying the area electronically.  This data is imported into RelMo a 2D plan drawing and 3D animation program written and distributed by AiTS.

What does it allow you to do?
Once we have created the 3D model, provided their is sufficient information, people and vehicles can be added and animated to show the interaction between them.

Perhaps more powerful is the ability to re-create a scene from CCTV footage which is typically a view taken from high up on the wall of a building.  Once the scene has been built, vehicles etc. can be added and animated providing their is sufficient information to do so.  Once complete the scene can be viewed from any point within the model.  For example from the driver position in a car or from a pedestrians prospective 'breaking away' from the CCTV cameras fixed position.
